Parviz Habibi

Professor Parviz Habibi is a leading, nationally-revered paediatric consultant specialising in respiratory disease, serious illnesses and sleep disorders with over 40 years of experience. He currently practices as a consultant paediatrician at The Portland Hospital, his own private practice on Harley Street and The Harley Street Clinic in London and New Maldon Diagnostic Centre in Surrey. He is also a reader and consultant in paediatric intensive care and respiratory medicine for St. Mary's NHS Trust at Imperial College, London. Appointed as senior lecturer in 1992, promoted to reader at Imperial College in 2006 and professor of practice in 2018, he practices as a clinician scientist doing translational research into serious childhood diseases such as meningitis and septicaemia and respiratory diseases such as asthma and bronchiolitis. His current research focus is on sleep and breathing in children with asthma and sleep patterns in babies.
